RAMP on “Torrent” June 4th!
May 29, 2008
Next Wednesday, look for a “Cerealized” profile as part of G4TechTV’s fun television series Torrent, June 4th at 8pm EST.
What exactly Eliza and Eric are going to cover will be a BIG SURPRISE (even to us) - We had recorded a bunch of interview footage and behind-the-scenes bits for both “Cerealized” and “Dead End Days” for the show ages ago, but shortly thereafter “Torrent” went through a big format change, and started up with a whole new production team on the other side of the country! Fast forward a couple of years and Torrent got back in touch with us again - and received oodles more exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews for their efforts. What will they use? What will they cut out? Will they keep the really smart-ass commercial-break throw Matt and Brad (and no one else) thinks is hillarious?
All these questions can only be answered by tuning in to G4TechTV next Wednesday at 8 Eastern. Check your local listings (always wanted to say that).
Catch POLITIkO until May 18th!
May 16, 2008
Yes we’re repeating ourselves, but as of this exact minute, you have less than three days to catch Jason Patrick Rothery’s political epic “POLITIkO” at the Big Secret Theatre in Calgary, Alberta.
Provided you’re somewhere within driving distance of Calgary, Alberta.
Or an international airport.
Seriously, you owe it to yourself. Nay, to future generations to not miss the world-premiere of a work which the Calgary Sun calls a “Razor Edge Political Drama!”
Go grab some tickets, and then tell them RAMP sent you… and then tell them it sure would be a shame if they got into an accident and didn’t have “get promoted by RocketAce insurance”… no, wait, that’s a different post entirely. Nevermind. Just get some tickets and enjoy some great new theatre from a major talent.
World Premiere of POLITIkO, May 8th-17th!
May 2, 2008
All of us in Toronto are beaming psycho-kinetic “Break A Legs” to RAMP co-founder Jason Patrick Rothery, whose latest play “POLITIkO” is having it’s World Premiere in Calgary, May 8-17th. Go buy tickets now.
Jason is a hell of a playwright, and any new work from him is cause for celebration - let alone a play that has him this stoked. Go buy tickets now.
I suppose if you’re really hard to convince you can check out Ghost River Theatre for more info and a nifty “teaser trailer”, but honestly - a real-world, politically-charged thriller from the writer of Wedgie, Wilson’s Leg, the space between us, The Drop, Re:Generation, Dead End Days, Wank, etcetera, etcetera… if you are visiting this website, this is pretty much a no brainer.
Catch a new video live - and the Imps fancy-pants new site!
May 2, 2008
It’s Spring, when young Men’s thoughts turn to… redesigning their websites, I guess.
Our frequent co-conspirators in video deliquency, The Imponderables have just release a very swanky new website over at theimponderables.com full of lots of fun stuff for fans of our recent collaborations (including a downloadable “Mushmouth” theme song, and some great behind-the-scenes pictures from “The Waldo Ultimatum” that we haven’t gotten around to stealing yet).
But that’s not all! Next Tuesday (May 5th) is the monthly Imponderables & Aquaintances show as part of the Sketch Lounge series at Toronto’s venerable Rivoli. 9pm, PWYC - and there have been unsubstantiated rumours that there might be a brand new Rocket Ace / Imponderables video making it’s debut on the big screen. Which I’m probably substantiating by alluding to. Substantiating mightily. Consider them well substantiated.
Heck there might even be TWO new videos… news of which, I suspect, would blow 75% of the Imponderables MINDS.
