Throughout the 2006 Season, the hard-hitting news team of Alex “Triple A” Apter, Grant Desmond, and Christopher Luz Hernandez provided a half-hour monthly podcast - dishing up in-depth coverage of the professional competitive Rock Paper Scissors circuit like no one ever has before (or since).
Endorsed as the official podcast of the World Rock Paper Scissors Society (the International Governing Body of the Sport) the RPS Radio Team interviewed world champions, legends, and icons of the sport - covering strategy, technique, tournament results, RPS-themed rock and roll, and the now-legendary “throw down” line where callers could leave vitriolic smack-talk rants to be aired about their opponents (or, just as often, the shows hosts).
As one would expect with such a dream-team titanic-triumverate, ego management was a herculean effort by the shows producers, and RPS Radio has been on “indefinate hiatus” since the conclusion of the 2006 World Championships. Hope springs eternal in the RPS world however, that the “Wall Street Journal of the dance of hands” can return at some point in the future.
